Once upon a time, in a far-away kingdom, there lived a young woman named Sarah who had the busiest day of her life ahead of her. She had to study for tests, finish projects, run errands, and attend the royal ball all before the sun went down.
Knowing that she wouldn’t have time to cook a full meal during this long day, Sarah got out her trusty soup pot and began throwing ingredients into it with reckless abandon.
First, she added chicken or vegetable broth. Whatever she could find in the pantry would do. Then came some diced carrots and onions for flavor.
Finally, Sarah added canned diced tomatoes with juice, pinto beans and small pastas for protein and substance and some herbs.
She brought everything to a boil, stirred it up and then set the timer for 15 minutes – just enough time for her soup to simmer and be ready by the end of her busy day.
Sure enough when Sarah returned from her many tasks at hand, she found that not only was Busy Day Soup ready but it tasted incredible! It was hearty, flavorful and filled with all sorts of delicious ingredients that satisfied her after such a hectic day.
Sarah spread news of this stunning discovery around the kingdom and soon everyone was enjoying Busy Day Soup in their own homes, especially on those days when they just didn’t have any more time or patience left!
From then on, Busy Day Soup remained one of the most popular dishes throughout the land, made quickly thanks to its flavorful ingredients that were easy to find in even the humblest of pantries.
